Mt. Abram Uphill Policy

All posted signage and the Skier’s Responsibility Code must be followed. Please note that anyone uphilling is also bound by the general mountain policies.

 

• Ticket/Pass Required – An Uphill Season Pass, Uphill Day Ticket (available online at all hours), regular Season Pass, or lift ticket for the day, is required for uphill travel. 

 

• Time/Day Restrictions – We allow uphill travel from 5:00 AM – 8:00 PM Thursday through Tuesday. Operational Hours are defined as one hour before and after lifts open/close (8am-5pm) There is no uphill permitted on Wednesdays as we prepare the mountain for operations going into the weekend. 

 

• Uphill Routes – For the safety of uphill skiers and riders as well as downhill skiers and riders we have 3 designated uphill routes available. Make sure to check the Mountain Report to see which uphill routes are open. The designated routes are:
  Roundabout to Sweeper
  Lower Easy Rider to Upper Easy Rider (or Skyline Drive from Westside)
  The Uphill Trail
  There is no uphill travel permitted on Boris, Fearless Leader, or the Cliff at any time. The Cliff is never open outside of operating hours.

 

• General Rules – At all times uphill travel must be done on the far sides of the trails on the tree line. You are not permitted to ever travel up with more than two side by side and we ask that you stay single file as often as possible. Skin smart, be visible, stay to the side of the trail, avoid the inside of corners, and do not stop below a headwall. Any guest skiing outside of daylight hours must have a headlamp on.

 

• Follow Trail Report – All skiers/riders must follow the current Trail Report and all posted signage at all times. Please note that trails are closed as if traveling from the top of the main chairlift. All skiers/riders are responsible for knowing what is open/closed. The most recent Trail Report will tell you of recent trail conditions and closures during non-operating hours. 

 

• Groomer/Equipment Etiquette – Watch out for and avoid all snowmaking equipment, snowmobiles, snowcats and any other hazards, vehicles, and workers. Do not ski over snowmaking hoses. If a groomer or snowmobile is present, uphill traffic must stop and step off the trail until the groomer passes. Downhill traffic should stay far away from any groomers or snowmobiles.

 

• Touring with Dogs – We allow you to skin with dogs outside of hours of operation (operation hours are 8am-5pm) with a few restrictions. Clean up after your animals. It’s not only disrespectful to the mountain, but disrespectful to everyone else utilizing the uphill routes and every skier on the mountain. Skiing / riding with dogs is incredibly dangerous for the animals. Dogs and edges do not mix. We understand the appeal of skiing with your dogs, and it can be a ton of fun when done in a safe way. We ask you to be aware of the dangers and recognize that this is at your own risk.

 

• Touring with Infants and non-independent skiers – Mt. Abram does not allow children without their own equipment to be carried by hand or by backpack by an adult with equipment, or towed in a sled behind them.  Any non-independent skier/rider should be outfitted with their own equipment and must have a retention system in place that is controlled by another skier/rider.

 

Mt. Abram and its employees reserve the right to add or modify any of the above listed or not listed policies at any time in order to maintain the safety of its guests and employees.

Dogs must be on a physical leash at all times during operating hours and are allowed in the base areas only. Please make sure to pick up after your animals.

Regular wear & tear is expected. Damage beyond that may leave you liable for the cost of repairs or replacing equipment. If you notice an issue with your equipment please let a rental technician know immediately so as to avoid liability.

No drones should be used on Mt.Abram property at any time without prior authorization from Mt. Abram

We understand plans can change and while day tickets are non refundable, if you are unable to come to the mountain on the day you purchased the tickets please call or email to move your ticket to another day.

Lessons must be canceled at least 24 hours before lesson start time to be eligible for a refund. We will do our best to reschedule your lesson for another day, however if that is not available we may issue a refund.

 

Seasonal Programs must be cancelled 30 days before the first program start date in order to be eligible for a full refund.  A full refund is not guaranteed if cancelled after that.

Retail products can be returned or exchanged within 90 days. Products must be clean and unworn without damage to be eligible. Defective products can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase and must have a receipt. 

Consumable items cannot be returned if opened.
