There’s nothing quite like that first successful turn—or the grin that comes with it. Whether you’re brand new to snow or looking to level up your skills, our SnowSports School is here to help you feel confident, have fun, and make the most of your day on the mountain.
All lessons meet at the Snowsports School building at the base of the Magic Carpet, located at the Westside.
Learn to Ski & Ride – $109
Never been on skis or a snowboard? We’ve got you! This 90-minute intro package is built for true beginners and includes everything you need to get started:

- Rentals
When: Daily at 10am & 1:30pm
Ages: Youth 6 – 14 / Adult 15 & up

Two Day Learn to Ski & Ride – $179
Ready to spend the whole weekend on snow? We’ve got you. This two day package includes one 90-minute learn to lesson and two days of lift tickets and rentals.

Youth Group Lessons – $59
From first turns to more advanced terrain, our Youth Group Lessons help kids develop strong skills and confidence on snow. Programs are available for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels.

Adult Group Lessons – $59
Dial in your turns, build confidence, and push your skills at your own pace. Group lessons are available for skiers and riders at the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced level.
When: Daily at 10am & 1:30pm
Ages: 15 and up

Private Lessons
Sometimes one-on-one attention makes all the difference. Private lessons are fully customized to your goals and pace. Add additional participants if you’d like to learn together.
Available Daily: 9am–3pm (time set during booking)
Ages: 6 and up

Tiny Tot Private Lessons – $89/hour
A gentle introduction to skiing or snowboarding for our youngest guests, taught with patience and play.

Indy Pass – Learn To Turn
Learn to Turn at Mt. Abram
We’re excited to partner with Indy Pass as an official Learn to Turn destination. If you’re ready to step into skiing for the very first time, this program is one of the most accessible and confidence-building ways to begin.
The Learn to Turn Pass includes three full days of beginner lessons, lift tickets, and rentals. It’s an all-inclusive package designed specifically for true beginners, ages 6 and up. Whether you’ve never put on skis before or you’re looking for a thoughtful, affordable way to learn the basics, this program sets you up for success from your first turns to your first full day on snow.
How to Redeem at Mt. Abram
- To schedule your Learn to Turn visit, please email snowsports@mtabram.com with your preferred date.
- We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to guarantee lesson availability.
- Same-day walk-ins may be accommodated depending on staffing and space, but advanced scheduling is the best way to secure your spot.

Family Lessons – $199 for two people
Learn together and make some core memories while you’re at it. This 2 hour lesson is designed for families who want to improve as a group.
Includes up to 5 family members
Price: $199 for first two, $65 each additional
Requirements:
- One participant must be a parent or grandparent
- Everyone must be on the same equipment (ski OR snowboard)
- Ages 6 and up
- Lesson geared to the lowest experienced participant
Available Daily: 9am–2pm
