Three venues. Three weekends. One champion.

The Maine Gravity Series brings together three of Maine’s most exciting mountain bike destinations for an inaugural enduro-style race series unlike anything the state has seen. Whether you’re racing to claim the series championship or showing up to test yourself on new terrain, this is your summer on two wheels.

Race Date Update – Now September 12 & 13

The Mt. Abram Grand Finale of the Maine Gravity Series has been rescheduled to September 12 & 13.

After hearing feedback from riders about a scheduling conflict with an ESC race, we made the decision to move the event one week earlier to better accommodate competitors. All event details, schedule, and race format remain unchanged.

MAINE GRAVITY SEREIS

HOW IT WORKS

The Maine Gravity Series is an enduro-format race series spanning three events across summer and early fall. Each venue offers its own distinct character — from the vertical of Sugarloaf’s bike park to the all-new Enduro Cross format at Camden Snowbowl to the grand finale at Mt. Abram.

Each event is a two-day weekend experience:

  • Saturday — Practice day. Get your lines dialed, explore the course, and prep for race day.
  • Sunday — Race day. Timed enduro stages decide the results.

Race one event, two, or all three. The series championship is awarded to the rider with the best combined result across all three events — with best male and female honors recognized across applicable age categories at each stop along the way. The series leaderboard culminates at Mt. Abram, where the inaugural Maine Gravity Series champions will be crowned.

Registration is available individually through each host resort.

THE SERIES

Saturday, August 15 & Sunday, August 16 Carrabassett Valley, Maine

Kick off the series at Sugarloaf Bike Park, where big vertical and a burly trail network meet some of Maine’s newest excavated flow terrain. Expect sustained, technical riding alongside freshly shaped lines built for speed — a course mix that rewards both the calculated and the committed. It’s a worthy opening chapter for the series. This race will include both  lift access & pedal transfers as part of the course.

Saturday, August 29 & Sunday, August 30 Camden, Maine

Something new hits the calendar. The Enduro Cross at Camden Snowbowl is an all-new event format making its debut as part of the Maine Gravity Series. Camden’s trail network brings a completely different feel to the series — technical, creative, and not to be missed. This race will not have lift access and include pedal transfers only.

Registration opens soon at camdensnowbowl.com

Saturday, September 12 & Sunday, September 13 Greenwood, Maine

The series comes home to Mt. Abram for the grand finale. This is where the leaderboard is settled and the inaugural Maine Gravity Series champions are named. Arrive with points to defend, rivalries to settle, or simply a great weekend of riding ahead of you.  This race will include both  lift access & pedal transfers as part of the course.

Want to be part of race weekend without racing?

We’re looking for volunteers to help us pull off another great weekend of racing at Mt. Abram. If you want to see the action up close, lend a hand, or just get involved, we have plenty of opportunities throughout the event.

Volunteer positions are available for both on-hill and base area support, with options to volunteer for the full day (7:30 am–2:30 pm) or morning only (7:30 am–11:00 am). You’ll have the opportunity to let us know what type of role you’re most comfortable with when you sign up.

Our biggest volunteer need is course marshals. Course marshals are stationed at key locations along the race course to help keep racers and spectators safe and the event running smoothly. Marshals help make sure the course stays clear while racing is underway, keep an eye out for riders who may need assistance, and communicate any issues on course back to race staff. It’s also one of the best ways to get a front-row view of the racing!

No race, biking, or mountain bike experience is necessary to be a course marshal. We’ll make sure you know what to expect and what to do before racers hit the course. Course marshal positions do require some hiking to reach your assigned location, primarily downhill, so please come prepared to spend some time out on the mountain.
