The Hybrid Snowsports Instructor is a full time position primarily focused on teaching through our Snowsports School. This position is responsible for teaching lessons and performing a variety of other roles across the mountain.  

This is a full-time seasonal role with an available 40 hours per week, with the potential for overtime to cover special events and holiday periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach lessons through Mt Abram’s Snowsports School
  • Participate in Snowsports School training activities
  • Complete training in a number of other roles, including administrative, custodial, point of sale, lift operations, etc.
  • Be flexible with task assignments and willing to teach skiing or snowboarding every day
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with group leaders, providing clear communication before, during, and after visits.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Advanced to expert level skier or snowboarder
  • Comfort using standard computer programs (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace); willingness to learn new software.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Prior experience in snowsports instruction is a plus.

Position Details

  • Schedule: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 8:30 am until 6:30 pm, with additional hours possible during holiday periods
  • Location: Mt. Abram Ski Area & Bike Park, Greenwood, Maine.

Compensation: Hourly wage based on experience.

The Group Sales Coordinator plays a key role in welcoming schools, organizations, and corporate groups to Mt. Abram Ski Area & Bike Park. This position is responsible for organizing, scheduling, and managing all group bookings, from weekly school visits to special events and private retreats. The coordinator works closely with multiple departments—including Snowsports School, Rentals, Guest Services, and Marketing—to ensure that every group has a smooth, enjoyable, and memorable experience.

This is a part-time role averaging 20–25 hours per week, with the potential for up to 40 hours per week for a motivated candidate interested in supporting other areas of mountain operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new and returning schools, organizations, and corporate groups.
  • Manage scheduling, reservations, and logistics for all group bookings.
  • Coordinate with Snowsports and Rentals departments to ensure lessons and equipment needs align with group schedules and department capacity.
  • Greet and assist groups on arrival, ensuring a positive guest experience from start to finish.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with group leaders, providing clear communication before, during, and after visits.
  • Identify and pursue new group sales opportunities in line with Mt. Abram’s community and business goals.
  • Monitor and respond promptly to inquiries through the group sales email account.
  • Coordinate with leadership and frontline staff across departments to deliver seamless group visits.
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and communications.
  • Support special events, fundraisers, and private mountain rentals as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a guest-first approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Comfort using standard computer programs (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace); willingness to learn new software.
  • Experience with point-of-sale or reservation systems preferred.
  • Ability to problem-solve and work in fast-paced situations.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, event coordination, or sales is a plus.
  • Flexible schedule with availability to support group visits during weekdays and occasional weekends.

Job Description
Mt. Abram Patrol is seeking highly motivated and responsible individuals to add to the team.
Patrollers’ general responsibilities include:
  • Rescue Operations including patient assessment, care and transport
  • Trail Opening and Closing procedures
  • Monitoring and managing guest and employee safety at the resort
  • Providing positive guest interactions while promoting a safe and family-friendly environment

Requirements:
  • Current Outdoor Emergency Care certification and status with NSP is preferred.
    -Lack of OEC certification can be sweetened by a current BLS CPR certification and another medical certification such as Wilderness First Responder or EMT.
  • Ability to safely and efficiently navigate (via bike or ski/snowboard) all available terrain.
  • Must own appropriate equipment that is functional and well-maintained
  • Patrollers must maintain their physical conditioning and energy to be safe and healthy in all weather conditions for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to carry heavy loads upwards of 70lbs

Line Cook – Immediate Opening

Mt. Abram Ski Area & Bike Park is looking for a part-time Line Cook to join our kitchen team at the Westside Lodge. This position starts immediately (around August 8) and includes evening and weekend shifts.

We’re seeking someone reliable, energetic, and ready to jump in during our busy summer season—with the potential for continued hours into winter for the right candidate.

The Snow Sports Instructor is responsible for instructing skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities to improve their skills, while providing a fun, safe and effective learning environment. Training is provided for new instructors.

Seasonal Program Instructor 

Mt. Abram is hiring Ski and Snowboard Instructors for our Seasonal Program
We are looking for experienced coaches that have worked with children 6 years and up, or
skiers with coaching experience such as soccer, field hockey etc. Training will be provided.

Seasonal Instructors will teach or help with a group of children for 2 hours on
either, Friday afternoons 1:00-3:00, Saturday mornings at 9:30- 11:30, Saturday afternoons
at 1:00- 3:00, or Sunday mornings at 9:30-11:30. Children’s ages range from 6-17 years old.
The program starts on January 10, 2025 and runs through March 9th. There is no program
on Presidents weekend February 15-16, 2025.
