We are seeking motivated and engaging Mountain Bike Coaches to join our team at Mt. Abram. In this position, you will play a key role in creating lifelong mountain bikers while making sure everyone has a safe and fun experience at Mt. Abram.
Hiring requirements:
– Work outside in all conditions
– Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
– Comfortable in a team-player role
– Own a mountain bike
Responsibilities:
– Coaches will be responsible for a group and/or one-on-one lessons.
– Work with many different age guests and coworkers
– Flexible to work in all types of programming our bike school has to offer
– Ensure riders safety and monitor all activities
– Follow all safety and emergency procedures and guidelines
– Attend Mt. Abram Staff Orientation

Mt. Abram’s Bike Park is entering into its fourth season and we are looking for several
dedicated Patrollers looking for a summer and/or fall job.

Full and part time (2-4 days/week, ~10 hr. days) positions available.

Interest in joining our Patrol for the winter ski/ride season is awesome but not required!

Requirements:

  • Current Outdoor Emergency Care certification in good and current standing with NSP is
    preferred.
    – Lack of OEC certification can be sweetened by a current CPR certification and
    another medical certification such as Wilderness First Responder or EMT.
  • Must own a mountain bike and be comfortable riding on Mt. Abram’s bike trails, mostly
    beginner to intermediate terrain.
    – Lack of comfort “shredding” the trails is okay. Comfort
    safely riding them is a must. Opportunities for lessons with Mt. Abram’s Bike School are
    available to help build skill throughout the season.
  • Good Physical Condition
    – Able to ride a bike uphill, and downhill, throughout the day, and maintain
    adequate energy levels and appropriate hydration.
    – Able to carry heavy loads upwards of 70lbs, such as carrying a patient in a litter
    through the woods, on and off trail.
