Mt. Abram, along with its partners Mt. Abram Ski Club and Friends of Mt. Abram, are proud to offer children living in MSAD 44 a free winter season pass!

Now in its 2nd year, the program is available to any child eligible to be enrolled in MSAD 44, including private school and home-schooled students.

Passes must be picked up at Mt. Abram between November 1 and January 31 at the Season Pass desk. The program will be closed after January 31, 2023. Pass photos may be sent in advance to seasonpass@mtabram.com to expedite the process.

The Youth Community Pass Program is proudly supported by the Mt. Abram Ski Club and the Friends of Mt. Abram.

This program is funded entirely by community donations.

If your child is enrolled in a public or private school within the MSAD44 school district we are working directly with the schools to verify enrollment of each student. If your child is homeschooled, we are requiring the Letter of Confirmation sent by the superintendent confirming your intention to homeschool for the year and/or proof of residency.

Friends of Mt Abram
Friends of Mt. Abram is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, dedicated to supporting the community and the continued existence of Skiing, Riding, Biking and other outdoor pursuits at Mt Abram. Working in conjunction with generous donors, Ownership, other non-profits, government and private funding sources, we seek to bridge the gaps to ensure the continued use of Mt Abram for year round outdoor recreational opportunities.
This year we are proud to support the complimentary Ski Pass Program for students across SAD44 — another great way to challenge and get young kids outdoors with their friends, learn to ski / ride, while possibly mentoring one another.
Mt Abram Ski Club
The Mt. Abram Ski Club is a foundation that was formed in 2007 by a group of local Mt. Abram skiers with a desire to create a way to provide financial support for young skiers in Maine. Mt. Abram Ski Club is an independent, 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to provide scholarships and snow sports education to the youth of Western Maine.
Although many of the children live within the shadow of local ski areas, few would have the chance to experience skiing or riding without financial assistance. Our funds have provided opportunities for children to learn to ski, train and compete in regional and national events, and access recreational opportunities to create healthy, active lifestyles. Since 2008, the Mt. Abram Ski Club (“MASC”) has distributed more than $215,000 in scholarships and grants to over 1,800 children and teens from low-income families in western Maine. The Youth Season Pass program will allow us to expand our reach to an even greater number of youth in our community.
