Race Volunteers

Do you want to be a part of the fun but don’t want to race? We have a large team of volunteers that are an integral part of the days events.

We are excited to announce our upcoming event, The Mt. Abram Downhill Race, scheduled to take place on September 16-17, 2023, at our bike park in Greenwood, Maine. As a grassroots racing event, we strive to provide a space for friendly competition on some of the most challenging terrain in New England.

Our race is a two day event: Saturday is a full day of practice followed by live music in our Westside Beer Garden. Sunday is race day where some of the best racers in New England come out to test the limits on our expert level terrain. Last year we welcomed over 100 racers to Mt. Abram and close to 150 spectators.

Bike Raffle Presented by Green Machine Bike Shop

We are thrilled to be partnering once again with Green Machine to give each racer the chance to win a new bike. Every entry will be put into a raffle for a Niner Air 9!

A downhill race is a gravity-based event with timed stages.
Simply put; riders take the chairlift to the top, and then race down the designated course for that day’s race.

After registering you will be assigned a wave which will determine when you will race. You must complete each stage before the designated cut off time, otherwise you forfeit your position.

*A full schedule will be released closer to the event*
