Now in its third season, the Mount Abram Jr Instructor Program is an incredible opportunity for teens ages 14 through 18 to learn how to teach the sport that they love in a fun, interactive environment. They will learn to become better technical all mountain skiers, develop great interpersonal skills through interaction with guests and our exceptional staff, and learn how to be great teachers in the process.
The program centers around the Professional Ski and Snowboard  Instructors of America’s Learning Connection Model (PSIA-AASI) www.thesnowpros.org, and is coached by Certified Professionals on Saturdays from 1-4pm.
Participants will understudy other instructors and be given immediate work opportunities if they are are of legal working age in the state of Maine with a permit from their schools.
Unlike similar programs, the cost includes a full year’s membership in the PSIA-AASI Organization which opens the door to incredible discounts on everything from stand-up paddle boards to ski gear to outdoor clothing, and even official sponsor vehicles from Volkswagen.

The cost is $540 for the season. Lift ticket not included. Meet on Saturdays from Jan 13th-March 10th 2024

 

There are no sessions over February vacation, but the teens may work during the break and receive 2 vouchers for skiing or riding with friends and family included with the program.
